Hey! I'm Alexis. I live with my cute husband and our two dogs. I like to call myself an extroverted homebody. I like being around people and planning parties but I'm also 100% happy to stay home and watch The Office.

I describe my doula style as caring, joyful, and full of love. My clients become friends to me. I don't want to be another stranger in the room. My goal is that you can see me as a familiar face who's only priority is to be there for you and with you.
HOW I GOT HERE
I photographed a birth. I had been a photographer for a few years, but never landed on my "thing". Until I photographed a birth. That experience lit my soul on fire. I immediately knew that being a birth worker was my calling in life. From there, I dove head first into anything I could find.

I certified as a birth doula through Birth Arts International, and trained through StillBirthDay to become Birth and Bereavement Doula. I love learning about birth and all the different options you have! I choose to take at least one additional course a year to continue my education and to stay up to date in the birth world.

WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK WITH ME?
Well, it depends on what you want! I can be hands on, talking to you, guiding you, and encouraging you, or just be there to refill your ice chips. It's all up to you.
I'll be there to support you and your family through physical support (massage, position changes, etc.), emotional support, and helping you make informed decisions. My only goal for your birth is that you feel that your birth is your choice. I'll be there for you for whatever you choose, with my bag of tricks and a big hug.
