I was a surrogate carrying twins and this was my first journey! I wasn't sure who to use as a photographer for maternity pictures, birth photos, and for newborn pictures, I wanted to make sure the parents had everything documented. It was hard finding someone who had the interest to help us! I was also a surrogate for a gay couple, so trying to find someone who was open to the situation was important as well. Alexis was AMAZING! She was open to EVERYTHING both the dads and I wanted, very accommodating! Alexis's work is so nice! She had a lot of great poses and ideas for the maternity shoot and she was able to capture the raw emotions of the birth! And the newborn pictures were just as precious! Alexis is very personable and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you meet her and is very patient! I also tried to use her as a doula as well, but with COVID restrictions for the OR, she was not able to attend the birth but she was able to capture the dads first look at the twins! She was also super helpful in showing the dads some techniques when it came to holding babies, doing skin-to-skin, etc. I cannot say enough how glad I was to have had her join us on our beautiful journey! My husband and I plan on using her again for our own next baby! Highly recommend Alexis!
